Pocoapoco is housed in a stunning traditional Oaxacan family home located in the center of Oaxaca City. Built in the late 1800’s, it was renovated by Portuguese architect João Boto Caeiro (also known for Oaxaca's Hotel Amantes, Hotel Sin Nombre amongst others) in 2013. It now holds three independent apartments, a large work studio, communal kitchen & an office space, and large central patio shaded by a pochote tree. The private roof terrace offers an unparalleled view overlooking the city and nearby Santo Domingo church. Each apartment is equipped with its own bathroom and kitchen or kitchenette. The three apartments have a total of four bedrooms and the house sleeps 8-10 comfortably.
The Pocoapoco home has been featured recently in publications such as Architectural Digest Mexico, The Modern House (UK) and Openhouse Magazine (Spain).

It is an honor to receive you in our home. To begin your stay we invite you to a welcome lunch in the central patio (along with mezcales and a house-made tepache) cooked by infamous cocinera, Aurelia Arroyo Nieto.
Aurelia will also cook another traditional meal during your stay, and is happy to welcome you into the kitchen to help with the preparation.
During one evening of your stay we offer a private mezcal tasting of off- label mezcales, selected and presented by Dafne Juliana.
Our team is happy to help your group organize or reserve other activities, meals, studio visits and / or transportation depending on your needs.
The house is located directly in Oaxaca centro, three blocks from Santo Domingo church, in easy walking distance to all restaurants, museums, and events.
