Four days in Oaxaca, immersed in arts & culture.


Pocoapoco October 22-26, 2024 Oaxaca, Mexico

A highly-curated program for supporters of the arts, our four-day trip will be filled with studio visits, film screenings, music, meals & performances in private homes & galleries as well as meeting & talking with visual artists working across contemporary and traditional practices.

About Pocoapoco:

Founded in 2016 and based in the central valley of Oaxaca, Pocoapoco is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering collaboration among artists, thinkers, researchers, and cultural practitioners through interdisciplinary programs and residencies. 

The funds raised from these trips are essential for Pocoapoco to continue serving and connecting our expansive community of local and international artists. 

Our programs support creative practices that extend beyond the realm of the arts to produce broader impacts and outcomes. 

These fundraisers that sustain these initiatives, enabling us to nurture creativity, drive innovation, and amplify the reach of our mission.

Guests will be housed in a beautiful home in the historic center of Oaxaca City. .

Each suite includes a King or Queen bed and private bath as well as access to a living area, kitchen and jacuzzi on the roof overlooking the city.

Dinner each evening will be unique event created for Pocoapoco by a local chef or cocinera.

Cost


The total cost of the trip is $3500, $1500 of which is tax-deductible. We require a $2000 deposit to confirm your place, which is refundable until eight weeks prior to the trip. The second deposit will be due eight weeks prior to the trip. If you are interested in sharing a room with a partner or a friend, the total cost per person is $3000.

The fee includes meals daily, all programs & events, internal transportation, drinks & mezcales, and a unique work of art, along with the essential support our programs.

Limited to 8 supporters.

Participants are responsible for their own flights or transportation to Oaxaca City.

The program will begin on Tuesday October 22nd at 5 pm and end on Saturday, October 26th at 12 pm. Guests are welcome to check in anytime after 3 pm on the 22nd. For those arriving earlier or leaving later, we are happy to hold your bags.

Pocoapoco will organize transportation to and from the airport to the house for all guests.

We are happy to advise on any additional travel plans for those staying a few extra days.
